Maria Mantero (Margarita Rosa de Francisco) lives along with her daughters Elisa (Paola Nunez), Georgina better known as "Gina" (Marimar Vega) and Emiliana (Alicia Zapien) in a condominium complex in Mexico City. She owns a small "fonda" (restaurant) where she earns just enough to survive. Elisa is studying architecture in UNAM and Emiliana a sick girl who always is under medical care.

Maria's condominium is in the condominium complex which will be destroyed by the construction company INMEX. This company has planed a project which will be built at the location.

Maria meets Hector when she is seeking help to avoid her home from being demolished. She is not whiling to loss the little she has and will fight for it. What would happen with this battle, a woman with no resources defending her patrimony against a wealthy and powerful company?
