Angelica Santos (Scarlet Ortiz) is a beautiful girl who leaves her home and goes to live at Santo Domingo to find a better life but in fact she goes far away to leave behind her relatives that she doesn't want to have close to her. She fined work in the local tobacco company called "La Guzmana." At "La Guzmana" she meets Antonio Guzman (Victor Gonzales) and they both fall in love.
